A trip to beautiful Bagnoles de L'Orne

The suitcases came out again on Friday - and I wondered where we were off to ths time. Didn't seem so much luggage so I guessed we wouldn't be away for so long.
Up so early on Saturday to pack the car and get my stuff ready. Then Ian & Mavis turned up in their bright yellow car and we followed them in ours. We stopped for a short break after about an hour, then onward to our destination.  We arrived at Bagnoles de L'Orne - a beautiful spa town.
We were staying at a hotel called Le Roc au Chien (very apt I thought!!)  It is a lovely looking hotel, just like a castle - I felt quite the princess going in!.

Then we met up again with Mavis & Ian and went for a long walk through the forest road.Unfortunately for me it was a massive vide grenier. It seemed to go on for miles (well 2.5k in each direction). Still I plodded on with dad, saying hello to the other dogs we encountered along the way. I had a long rest and some dinner when we reached 1/2 way, before coming back with mum. We got about 1/2way back again and mum said we should have a break - so we found a shady spot under some trees and sat and watched the world go by for about 20 mins.
It was lovely to reach the park where we started and we sat and waited for dad to arrive. He had been looking at the stalls on the way back ( mum looked on the way out!)
Mum bought me a new toy - this one floats - so I can play with it in the water.!

There was a big lake in the park - but I couldn't find a shallow bit to get in, so we went for a walk through the park.  YES!! I  found a spot where I could get in - so I did!!!  Oh it felt so lovely and cool!.

Had to get dried before we went back to the hotel for a rest, before going out to dinner. I slept for about 2 hours -

 J'étais très fatigué!!!

When it was a bit cooler - we wondered into town and met up with Tony & Jill, Mavis & Ian and some other people and all had dinner together at a nice restaurant.
I had to sleep in the bedroom that night - but I didn't try and get on the bed!!!

A lovely walk round the park this morning, then we said goodbye to Bagnoles de L'Orne. I thought we would come straight back home  - but nooo we stopped at 2 MORE vide greniers on the way!!!

I am all "vide greniered" out now and was so happy to be back home!

Bagnoles de l'Orne est une belle ville et je voudrais revenir - aussi longtemps que nous n'avons pas de faire un vide grenier!
