Le Tour de France!

Well. gran has been here all week and we have got on very well.  Florrie -  a gran is an old lady who gives you lots of cuddles. I went out to lunch with gran to celebrate her birthday - she is 93years old!!!

We got in the car today and set off to watch the Tour. Didn't  know what to expect but I was looking forward to being out and about.  We got within about 5 kms of where we wanted to be when the road was blocked!! A gendarme wouldn't let us through so we turned round and went down another road.  We then found ourselves on the actual course!  Luckily we were early so didn't get in the way! Monica, Emma & Richard came with us - so we had a lot of fun!
We parked just off the road, had lunch, a wander round, then waited. It was very hot - so mum and I sat in the shade.

Then round the corner came a caravanne of advertising cars and vans, they threw  lots of things at us and the children standing near by had a good time collecting things.
Look what mum got for me!

Just before the cyclists came - the heavens opened - thunder, lighting and torrential rain - we got soaked!

Then they came flying round the corner - they were going soooo fast - whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

Then just as fast - they were gone. Back in the car and home for a long sleep, before dinner and another long sleep.
A la prochaine
