Lots of lovely visitors!!

Wondered why mum spent alll morning in the kitchen  yesterday.  First of all Mavis and Ian turned up then - dad arrived with 4 guys in uniform (mums a bit of  fan of men in uniform - but don't tell her I said that!!)

OK Freya - who has dad got with him now!
Don't ask me Harley - they never tell us anything!

In Normandy we have quite a celebration at the beginning of June to celebrate the liberation of France. These guys were here to look after the planes that men will be jumping  out of on Sunday. (Can't understand why they would want to to do that myself) - but it is a re-enactment of what happened on June 6th 1944 and started the end of the war.  If the war was anything like watching 2 dogs fight - it must have been really bad.

Anyway we had such a good time - Harley and me were made quite a fuss of (only natural of course !) Captain Spence gave us such a lot of fuss!!!

The funniest time was when mum introduced them to Marmite!! She loves it but it is an aquired taste - so I'm told.    Gonzo and Glyn bet Cameron 35 Euros that he wouldn't eat a tablespoon of Marmite in one go.

Well he did !!- washed down with beer!  Then they tried Calvados and Liquer 44 - which they all seemed to like.

It was so late Harley and I were asleep before they left - but it was a lovely evening and we both hope we can watch the planes go over on Sunday.

Mum has put more photos on her facebook page - so pop over and take a look!

Spence, Mavis, Glyn, Ian mum, Cameron and Gonzo,
Evidently we have more visitors arriving today - hope they are as much fun
